In this vibrant reading club, students will dive into beginning and developing reading skills through a mix of fun games, interactive activities, and captivating reader’s theater. Our sessions are designed to make learning enjoyable and effective, featuring catchy cheers and movements that help reinforce word patterns and sight words. Kids will slither around the room combining sounds or throw “snowballs” to build words, making reading practice an adventure. We tailor activities to address specific skills such as letter identification, rhyming, sight words, word patterns, and comprehension strategies, ensuring each child gets the support they need. Plus, our engaging games and activities are easy to replicate at home, offering meaningful repetition to boost reading success. Robotics 101-A

Intro to Robotics with Arduino Part 1 – Discover the exciting world of robotics with part one of our Robotics 101 series course! This session offers hands-on experience with real robotics components to design, build and program your own robots! In this course students will have an introduction to Arduino Microprocessors; learn the basics of Arduino, a powerful and versatile micro controller used in countless robotics projects. They will experience: 1) Hands-on Building where they design and construct robots using real components like sensors, motors, and wires, gaining practical skills in electronics and mechanics. 2) Programming Basics including writing and uploading code to the Arduino to control their robots, starting with simple tasks and progressing to more complex functions. 3) Sensor Integration: Explore how to use various sensors to enable your robot to interact with its environment, such as detecting obstacles and following lines. 4) Motor Control: Understand how to control different types of motors to drive and move your robots. 5) Problem-Solving and Innovation: Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills as you troubleshoot and refine your robotics creations.

Students will explore a range of techniques, from the grounded, powerful moves of modern dance to the free-form, experimental qualities of contemporary dance. Through guided exercises and creative choreography, they’ll develop strength, flexibility, and emotional expression while discovering their unique dance voice. Whether mastering foundational modern techniques or pushing the limits of contemporary innovation, students will gain a deep understanding of both styles.
